Solar Powered smoke alarm

A new design of Solar Powered smoke alarm has been developed removing the need to keep replacing a drained battery (as is the case for standard battery operated smoke alarms).  Simply fit and forget, ensuring the on board flashing LED indicates there is sufficient light present.  The device will work from either natural or artificial light and requires only 50 -100 hours of charging each year (depending on the light intensity) to operate continuously night and day. Provided it is located in a correct location, then up to 15 years life is possible.
